Many salons tend to, in my experience hand out a fancy title to their employees because they've been with them for so long and they don’t know what to do with them, how we do it at Thistles is based on knowledge and generally the stylist at the (and if you pardon the expression) at the lower end of the chain, are new fresh and up to date with changes within the hairdressing world, which believe me changes all the time. It is with this in mind that a stylist only advances when they continually learn from others. Remembering never to forget the BASICS of hairdressing.

Fiona Bradley Founder of Thistles along side husband Ben, Thistles was established in March 2006, Fiona is qualified in level 2 and 3 hairdressing for 13 years and 9 years of management experience, Fiona is passionate about all aspects of hairdressing and most of all about customer care, a big believer in the wow 'Fantastic Hairdresser'. Fiona and her team strive to provide these ideals within the salon. Experienced in hair and some aspects of Beauty, Fiona also specialises in colour, wedding hair, gents barbering including cut throat shaving, Raccoon Hair Extensions and qualified trainer, Fiona works closely with her assisting stylists, to guide them to completing their hairdressing compendentley.

Amanda Schofield Is qualified in level 2 and 3 hairdressing with a variety of hairdressing skills behind her, Amanda has been hairdressing 14 years, however expertise have been directed towards client care and management, Amanda works in the salon part-time working within her expertise, technically as well as directly managing the team and shop floor.

Vicki Tyrer Working with us for 3 years, she has come from a larger salon than prior to us having left to start a family, Vicki and I worked together for 4 yrs prior to Thistles hence she had a good client following, Vicki is an experienced stylist not just in hairdressing but in many aspects of beauty too, having studied at Preston College as an apprentice Vicki has level 2 in hairdressing and customer service, waxing, cosmetic make-up, manicure and pedicure, body massage, skin care, and ear piercing; during her time at Thistles Vicki has attended and excelled in her abilities qualifying as a specialist in acrylic nails thus woks as one of nail technicians, Vicki is also part of our team as an expert in Raccoon Hair Extensions.

Conor Flanagan Newest member of our team with 4 years experience and fully qualified with level 2 & 3 hairdressing.Having Worked in a large international salon previously conor has established a good cleintele provides excellence in customer care, colour and technical work. |
